In attempting to describe myself in as accurate an ethnic description as possible, I've come up with "descendant of British descended early American pilgrims and patriots and Mormon pioneers plus Scottish immigrant equals 1st generation suburban Californian with various urban ethnic influences turned Utahn who occasionally speaks Japanese." Not that that's critical to understanding my blog, but it was sure fun to come up with!
My blog is my outlet for whatever I'm thinking about at the moment. I don't pick my topics based on current events or pop culture, unless they have specific meaning to me. This is not a rant, though I reserve the right to make it so. I enjoy finding the ridiculous in the mundane.
I do not enjoy politics anymore. I follow it, I vote, but I have lost patience with people who call for tolerance and then won't grant me any for my own convictions. I don't qualify relationships based on whether or not we share the same views. So, just know that I respect you and your ideology of choice. I hope you'll do the same for me.
I do enjoy religion. Yours and mine. My faith is central to my life and I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but I enjoy finding common ground wherever it can be found. I tend toward frequent references to spirituality. Once again, if it's on my mind, I blog about it.
